Here is the portrait of Laurent Marie, explorer and organizer of a trip to Antarctica to film a documentary on the Crozet Orcas in December 2021, who was equipped with a Zodiac PRO 7.

“In total for this documentary, there are 11 people plus the crew of Osiris.
There was such a positive atmosphere on board! We cast off at the port of Reunion.
I worked every day on our Zodiac Pro 7, “Delphine” so that it was operational as soon as we arrived at Crozet.
There were penguins swimming, and elephant seals fighting for the females, surrounded by their babies. Killer whales are rare, but we see glimpses of them…maybe soon we will be able to film them.
We continued our journey towards the island of the pigs, the island of the East, and the Apostles… these rough volcanic islands were surprising!
For two days we faced a rough swell with 5 to 6 meters waves, with gusts of more than 60 knots.
It is difficult to live on a ship when it’s constantly moving. We are just arriving in Possession, the mountains are snowed in, and maybe orcas will be there!”
